HI,
I have the rare (for me) opportunity to photograph an Indoor Football League game, with the understanding that if I'm good enough, I can shoot on the regular basis.
Yikes, I've never done anything like this before. I'm a concert photographer and I figure it's not too far off that, but I'm not sure my gear stacks up.
I have a Nikon D7000 with a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 push pull lens. I also have access to those iffy-quality plastic Nikon 70-300mm f/4-f/5.6 lens.
If I'm reading the rules of IFL correctly, the field if 50 yards long with an additional 8 yards for the endzone (I'm assuming each endzone)
I already figure I'll have to crop in to fill the frame, but will either one of these lenses cut it? I really don't have the money to buy a 300mm or 600mm prime lens so I'm posting here for advice and voices of experience (if there are any) on how to approach this.
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
